Latest News on our progress in the 2023 Inter Club Competitions:

McDonnell Cup - Semi Final Match with Sutton Golf Club on Sunday 16th July at 3 o’clock. 2 Matches at home and 3 matches away in Sutton. Asking everyone who can come along and support our lads in a historic event for our club. Best of luck to all Manager Brendan Fowler, and all officials and players involved.

• McDonnell Cup - Beat Roganstown in the local derby in round 1, and a great win in the second round against Royal Dublin on Sunday . Swords were away (3 Games in Royal Dublin, 2 at home). The honours were shared in Swords (1 each), and a great result on Sunday 21st May. in Royal Dublin, The first 2 games were shared, and in the deciding game (Paul O’Hanlon and Jason Tuohy), Swords were 1 down playing the 18th, but won the hole, and then won the 19th for a famous victory.

• Irish Mixed Foursomes - Really close encounter with Howth on Sunday 14th May, lost 3 - 2 on the last putt on the 18th green of the last match

• Uden Cup - A tough battle against Corballis on Saturday 20th May, lost the home games 2-1, battled hard out in Corballis, with both games going to the 18th, but eventually losing out in both matches. Managed by Willie Greene.

• Jimmy Bruen - Away to Westanstown on Sunday 21st May, a really close encounter, all matches were close, but lost out eventually 3-2 (Colm McCann wanted it mentioned that himself and Brendan won their game away!!). Managed by Paul Byrne.

• Pierce Purcell - Match against Corballis to come.

• Best Cup - Match v Newlands to be played on Sunday 28th May. Manager: George Lynch.
